CHAPTER 32
In this chapter they told you most mornings Grayson would be the first one to get out of bed. he would turn on the the space heater and go to the band shell lavatory, then get breakfast ready and heats up the water. Then he wakes up the boys. then the chapter talks about December thirteenth when maniac woke up and he was the first one up.Grayson was still under the cover. Maniac shocked Grayson he didn't move. It was cold he was dead.
Maniac didn't panic he stayed calm. Maniac read out loud. he read all the books Grayson learned to read and he finished with his favorite book, it was called Mike Mulligan's steam shovel. By the time he finished it was night. He dragged his chest protectors alongside the old man's mat and only then, when he close is Maniac started to cry.
The funeral came it was on the third of January. Grayson came to the cemetery in a wooden box. Maniac didn't know the pallbearers. the were members of the trash collecting.Maniac was the only Mourner He thought the parks superintendent or the attendant at the y locker room and also the lady who ran the park food stand in the summer would come to the funereal. None of them were there. Only a few people came. Then they talk about the funeral. The chapter ends when Maniac runs away from the funeral.
Chapter 28
This chapter is a chapter about Grayson read his first book cover to cover. it was called The Little Engine That Could.It took a lot of effort to read the book and by the time the old man was finished he was sweating and exhausted. the kid was really happy. Then the kid Hugged him with all of his mite. Then Maniac offered Grayson something easy on his bad teeth so he offered him a corn muffin and some apple juice. Grayson said "sure".
After the snack the kid offered Grayson if he wanted to sleep over cause it was getting dark. so the Grayson said "okay".
Then Grayson fell right to sleep because he was exhausted. He was really Happy cause the kid made him really Happy. That is what Chapter 28 is about.
Chapter 2
This is the chapter when everyone know Maniac Magee started out in Hollidaysburg and he ended up at two mills. But the question was why did he take so long.It took him almost a year to get to two mills. The legend doesn't have the answer so it was called the lost year. there also was another question that why did he stay at two mills why not some where else. some people thought because it was near where he was born and some people also thought that he got tired and that he was ojnly going to stay a little here but then he made a new freind so he was so happy. The people who claims to have see Maniac in that first day. They said they must of been about ten thousand people for waiting him at the town limits. But don't believe it. The people that actually saw them was when they got passed by Maniac and he always says hi and then he was gone. That it what Chapter 2 was about.
